I cast on for this sweater on May 3 of last year; so it took a little more than a year to finish. That’s with plenty of breaks for Christmas and other knitting as well as other non-knitting projects. Not to mention ripping back the yoke to replace the originally cream (nearly white) yarn with this lovely darker beige / tan, and therefore also knitting and grafting new hems for the body and sleeves.
I still wish I’d been able to get more subtly differentiated colors in this yarn so that the beautiful star / snowflake pattern would stand out more than the horizontal bands of color. And if I did it again I would add a few short rows to raise the back neck to fit more closely and comfortably. And I hope that once it has buttons the henley will lie nice and flat — as it is, it gapes a bit in the middle.
Overall though? I love it.
