Assorted eleven-month cutenesses

Amy is ten months old today!

I nearly forgot and had to quickly iron the jumper (can you believe I did that!) and arrange our little photo session. I knew it was coming up, I was just surprised to find out that it was today!

A moment of tenderness with dear little lamb.

Amy likes to flop herself down on her face — usually in her crib at naps and bedtimes, sometimes on the carpet, and even on the kitty’s bed, whether the kitty is in it or not.

This month’s minis:

And yes, there are a lot more photos this session than usual. Perhaps because someone was so active it was hard to be sure of good shots, so that I took way more than fifty. (Narrowed it down to fifty on the camera, and narrowed down further on the computer.)

We’ll be back in a month.

Amy is nine months old today!

Because of church, and grocery shopping, the afternoon nap, and the bath, I didn’t get to picture-taking until rather late in the day. Hence all the sleepy cuddlies. That and she’s so much more mobile now that it’s hard to get a smile, facing the camera, sitting nicely, all at the same time, often enough to get at least one that’s in focus and well-framed.

My sister and I used to use this rocker. I suspect the decorations were originally gold.
Amy can pull herself up to standing using just about anything for support — the refrigerator, the couch, a leg… or her rocking horse.

She still needs help getting on the horse, of course, of course, but she’s a pretty good rider. She likes to play with the horse’s ears, and kick her feet under the seat.

When you’re mellow and sleepy, though, a cuddly kitty blankie is the best thing.

A few days ago, Amy was alternately standing, kneeling, and sitting at the sliding glass door. My favorite picture from my own early childhood is my sister and I standing at a sliding glass door, my face close against the glass, both of us with cute classic Winnie the Pooh dresses on. I’ll have to find it to post next to this one.

Amy turned six months old today!

Getting more mobile — arm-flailing and banging of objects, squirming and bending and falling in various directions, starting to sometimes pull herself back up to sitting.

(Just so you know, I took 47 pictures. It was hard work narrowing it down to just a few to post!)

Amy is four months old today!

I must…

… roll over … (but I can’t quite make it yet).
