Amy’s first time flying

Our next job search trip took us first to New Jersey, where my parents live, and then to North Carolina to interview with a school not too far from Raleigh.
Amy enjoyed visiting with her other grandparents; although if you look closely at her hands you might think she felt otherwise:

The night we arrived, she did feel otherwise; but that was her only really fussy evening and she still went to sleep at a decent hour. Here we are walking around after I got a nice shower.

While we were gone, Mom got some cute nap pictures:

And this one with Dad:

When we returned, we spent a couple of days there before heading back home; all three of us needed a little extra time to start recovering from our colds.

Amy will generally hold onto something you put in her hand, and she sometimes grabs things herself; she doesn’t do so well with letting go yet.

Amy enjoyed her visit with Grandma and Grandpa P in Indiana while Mark and I spent a few days at a school that’s interviewing him. She even traveled well, sleeping most of the time in the car, and not fussing TOO much at restaurants and rest areas.

Amy is getting the head control thing more and more. She can tilt to look up and around, and she can even lift her head clear of her arms or other support.

That’s still a bit shaky, but she’s working hard at it. Just look at the concentration in that furrowed brow.

Or the concentration in this staring contest with the frog. I haven’t seen Amy blink yet, but I think the frog is less easily distracted.

Amy is two months old today.

She’s getting better at getting her fingers to her mouth and sometimes keeping them there. Looks like she might be one of those who pulls her ear or twirls her hair while sucking…

This one made me laugh because it looks like she’s lounging around playing blues on the harmonica.

This one made her laugh for some reason.

Pretty blue eyes… so far… they might still turn into pretty brown eyes.

By the way, she got four shots at the doctor today, and handled it quite well. And she’s up to 11 pounds, 7 ounces, and looking great overall.
