So, this spring I bought this dress pattern and enough nice chocolate brown ponte knit to make view A, the long-sleeved, long-skirted version.
Today I finally looked at the pattern and measurements. I am closest to the size 18 on the package, but with a few inches off one way or the other on everything but the hips.
Has anyone out there made this dress? Or some other princess-seamed dress?
Can anyone advise about how to go about alterations I might need?
I know I need to first of all shorten the back waist length, adjust the bust, and make sure there will be enough room in the waist. I also want to redraw the neckline a bit higher and maybe extend the hemline a little longer.
I might be able to figure things out by trial and error, but some expert or at least experienced advice might help a lot. Especially since my last princess seamed dress attempt lies a little funky at the neckline.
I don’t particularly want to publish my measurements, but if anyone is able to help I could email them.

Your dress is lovely!!! I avoid all Princess lines that curve to the armseye!!! I use those that go straight up, (MUCH EASIER TO ALTER) Perhaps when you make this again you can remove the excess width of the sholder seams to lessen the part that hangs off your shoulders, it appears a bit too far off. We learn from every sewn item! Keep up the Good Work!!! What a doll Amy is!!! God Bless, Granny T.
