I remember reading about Piaget when I was getting my teaching certificate, but I didn't remember what age he said object permanence starts to develop. Amy seems to be aware when we leave the room -- she complains -- but then she stops after a while, like she only remembers for a minute that we used to be in there.

And at 4 months, she'd probably forget about the sun quite quickly. At that age, out of site is pretty much out of mind, at least according to Piaget.

Ahhh... the good old days when I was doing research on topics like this.
