30 Weeks

We had another prenatal visit today — we’re going every two weeks now. In fact, we’ve scheduled the rest of our visits already up to the week before the due date.

Everything looks good — a bigger weight gain this time (seven pounds) which is reassuring.

This visit and last visit the baby was in the same position — head down, back along my left side. She seems to be in that position most often at home, too, as far as I can tell, although she continues to move fairly often and in a variety of ways, from little tiny hiccup blips and momentary flutters, to slow-moving bulges, to what seem to be like somersaults and what seems to be like everything stretched out as far as she can reach.

I still feel pretty good, but have some typical discomforts like getting tired quickly and a little heartburn from time to time. Tums is sufficient for that so far.

Tonight our trio has a three-hour gig; that will stretch my energy for sure.

I carried the kitty around in the sling a bit last night and this afternoon; she really likes it and it may help me develop more upper back strength or at least get used to carrying weight that way as well as practice wearing and adjusting the sling.
